As an LSC Admin, you have the ability to restrict Requestors and/or Interpreters from Canceling or Editing Scheduled Appointments within a specific time period.

How to Restrict Users:

  • Navigate to Configuration > Company > Appointments.
  • Select Canceling/Editing Scheduled Appointments. This will generate the following pop-up:

  • Here you can toggle On to restrict interpreters' and/or requestors' ability to cancel appointments. mceclip0.png
  • Choose a timeframe (hh:mm) in which you would like to prevent interpreters or requestors from making changes.
  • You then have the option to use the provided message, or to create a custom message, to send to users who attempt to edit/cancel the appointment within the selected timeframe.
    • Requestors have two different warning message options: one for when they attempt to cancel,  and another for when they attempt to edit a scheduled appointment

Restricting Subscription Requestors

Similar to the previous steps, you can set up a time frame in which you can prevent subscription users from canceling appointments. Additionally, you have the option to add Cancelation Rules to charge a fee to the user's subscription based on the timeframe in which the user canceled the appointment.

Note: this option is only available if you have Requestors set up using a Subscription model. Please reach out to your Account Manager for more information.

Subscription Cancelation Rules

Commonly, users choose to set up a higher cancelation fee the later the request is placed. For example, the screenshot below shows (from top to bottom):

  • If the appointment was canceled within 2 hours of the start time, they will be charged 100% of the duration.
  • If the appointment was canceled within 24 hours of the start time, they will be charged 75% of the duration.
  • If appointment was canceled within 72 hours of the start time, they will be charged 50% of the duration.

*These examples are purely for educational purposes and not suggested cancelation fees.
