Based on the purpose of the interpretation call, there may be times that a requestor has a preference for the gender of their interpreter. The gender selection prompt will allow requestors to choose from Male, Female, or No Preference. If accessing the system via the mobile app or a browser, the requestor can indicate a gender preference within the caller.
Currently, IVR Gender Selection can be set at the Global level and the Account level. This setting will be OFF by default. When IVR Gender Selection is turned on, the question will be asked as one of the IVR prompts, alongside Language selection and Pre-Call questions.
To Configure at the Global Level
- Navigate to Configuration>Company>Calls.
- Locate the IVR Gender Selection setting and click Edit.
- toggle this setting ON/OFF and click Save to confirm.
To Configure at the Account Level
- Navigate to Members>Accounts.
- Click on the Account you wish to configure.
- Click on the Routing tab.
- locate the IVR Gender Selection setting and click Edit.
- toggle this setting ON/OFF and click Save to confirm.
