WEB RELEASE: JUNE 25, 2026
What’s New
Smarter AI Interpreter joining for IVR, hold, and conference-merge calls
AI Interpreter now waits to join your call until everyone is ready, improving call quality on IVR, hold, and conference-merge flows. What changed:
- On supported calls, the interpreter no longer joins while hold music is still playing. Instead, you’ll hear a brief prompt:“…make sure your third party is on the line and hold music has ended. Press any key when ready.“The AI interpreter joins as soon as you press a key.
- Because the interpreter now joins only after everyone is connected, your third party will hear the recording announcement and the interpreter’s greeting— which could previously be missed when the interpreter joined too early.
Why it matters:
- Eliminates incorrect or premature interpreter openers caused by hold music.
- Ensures all parties hear the call’s recording announcement and greeting.

AI Interpreter Language Policies
LSC admins can now control which languages are available to their customers for AI Interpreter calls — the same way they already manage OPI, VRI, and OSI.What changed:
- A newAI Interpreter tab is available in the Language Policies section.
- Create, edit, reorder, enable/disable, clone, set as default, assign, and delete AI Interpreter language policies, just like other policy types.
- Policies apply both in the language picker (so unsupported languages don’t appear) and at call time across IVR, DirectDial, SIP, and web/manual calls. If a caller selects a language not covered by their policy, they’ll see a clear message.
Why it matters:
- Restrict AI Interpreter languages to those your organization is contracted or staffed to support.
- Reduce confusion and support load from unsupported languages.
*Note: Companies without an AI Interpreter language policy assigned continue to see all AI-enabled languages, no action needed and no change in behavior.
